A leaked video of Natalie Harp aboard Donald Trump‘s private jet has added to scrutiny of the White House aide’s access to the president. It shows Harp casually tapping her heels to the Village People’s “Macho Man” while seated before a laptop on the aircraft.

Biographer Michael Wolff obtained the clip while reporting on Trump’s 2024 campaign. The recording’s date remains unknown, but its release lands during an ongoing controversy over Harp‘s proximity to Trump and her security clearance status (via Daily Beast).
The plane video follows the publication of two personal letters Natalie Harp wrote to Donald Trump in 2023. In one letter, she wrote: “You are all that matters to me” and thanked him for being her “Guardian and Protector in this Life.”
Harp wrote the letters around the time she traveled with Trump to Scotland and Ireland. Her words revealed intense personal devotion to the Republican candidate. She admitted envying women “whose only job seems to be to talk with you and look pretty.”
“I want that job!!” she wrote, adding that she missed their casual phone conversations. “We shouldn’t have to talk about work all the time!!” The letters exposed the unusual dynamic between the president and his $150,000-a-year executive assistant. Staff nicknamed Harp the “human printer” because she follows Trump with printed positive news stories and Truth Social posts she helps draft.
Additionally, it was reported this week that Harp worked at the White House for more than a year without completing standard security clearance procedures. The White House now says she has clearance, but the delay sparked questions about her access to sensitive information.
The White House has defended Harp against criticism. Spokesman Davis Ingle called her “one of the most loyal and hardest-working aides on President Trump’s team.” He accused media outlets of pushing “Trump-Deranged liberal talking points.”
The controversy gained national attention after Senator Jon Ossoff mentioned Harp during a rally. Despite concerns about distraction ahead of midterms, the administration continues to support the aide.
