For a while, many fans have been convinced that actresses Shailene Woodley and Grace Van Patten are related or even sisters. Woodley, who is gearing up for the release of Paradise Season 2, recently shared her take on being considered Van Patten’s lookalike. The comparisons started after Van Patten’s role in the TV series Nine Perfect Strangers as Zoe Marconi.
Paradise’s Shailene Woodley calls Season 2’s Van Patten her ‘twin’
Shailene Woodley, who is all set to appear in Paradise Season 2, recently had a chat with Entertainment Tonight, in which she talked about being compared to Grace Van Patten.
Woodley and Van Patten’s fans have frequently taken to social media to question whether the two actresses are related to each other, with some believing that the two stars are in fact sisters. However, Grace Van Patten and Shailene Woodley are not related.
After being asked if she also sees a familial resemblance between herself and Van Patten, Woodley expressed her admiration for Van Patten and said, “You know I’ve met Grace a few times, and every time we see each other, we’re like, ‘Hey, twin.’ Because everyone sees it, I do see it. But it is a funny thing because you know, everyone does say it.”
The Fault in Our Stars actress also stated, “And she’s so lovely, and so it’s such a compliment.”
Van Patten has also shared her views on being called a lookalike of Woodley. According to Distractify, the Tell Me Lies star conveyed, “I’ve gotten it a bunch, and I love that. She’s an amazing actress and beautiful, so I will take it.”
Woodley is currently preparing for the release of the new season of Paradise, which will be out on February 23, 2026. She will appear in the Hulu series alongside stars Sterling K. Brown and Julianne Nicholson.
