Glen Powell Got Help From 1 of the Jonas Brothers for Prank on Sister

Glen Powell has opened up about a “mean prank” he pulled off on Leslie Powell, his sister, with the help of a Jonas brother. He also said his sister was “too sweet” and that he’ll never prank her like that again.

Glen Powell talks about pranking his sister Leslie with Joe Jonas’ help

While attending a special screening of his upcoming movie, How to Make a Killing, the Chad Powers actor was asked whether he had ever pulled a prank on any of his parents or siblings. The actor responded with an anecdote involving his Devotion co-star Joe Jonas.

“I did… a prank phone call on my sister with Joe Jonas of getting arrested,” he told PEOPLE. “My sister literally was searching in every jail in Georgia for the two of us.”

The Twisters actor went on to explain that Jonas had figured out a way, using something like Google Translate, to replicate the audio of an automated prison call asking for acceptance. When she accepted the call, he lied to her, saying he and Jonas had hit someone with a golf cart. The actor then asked her for help bailing them out.

Glen Powell said that his sister took the call very seriously and searched for them in every jail in Georgia. He added that it was very sweet of his sister and that it showed how dedicated she was to him. However, he also admitted he wouldn’t try to pull off a “mean prank” like that again, saying she’s “too sweet.” While the Hit Man actor revealed that his sister got him back, he didn’t share details on how.

Leslie Powell is an LA-based songwriter and artist whose work appears in movies, series, and commercials. She famously reimagined the iconic slogan of the popular US jewelry chain Kay Jewelers, “Every Kiss Begins With Kay.” It became a massive hit on social media and reportedly earned over 12 billion views.

Leslie contributed to movies and series such as All American, Big Shot, Call Me Kat, Scrambled, and more. Furthermore, she worked on Anyone But You and Twisters, both of which featured her brother in lead roles.
