Meghan Markle Has a Reason ‘To Be Seen With’ A-Listers — Expert

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s photo controversy after attending Kris Jenner’s birthday party has once again caught attention. A royal expert, Richard Fitzwilliams, recently hinted at why the Sussex couple went to the lavish event. He claimed that the “Suits” alum “needed to be seen with” A-list celebrities to gain the support she lacked before. However, things became complicated and were reportedly not handled carefully by their public relations (PR) team.

Meghan Markle wants ‘to be seen with’ A-listers for support she lacked before, says expert

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s photos at the Kardashians’ high-profile party last year became the hot topic of discussion. It received backlash after Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner quietly removed the Sussexes pictures from their Instagram handles.

Speculations sparked that the duchess allegedly asked them to take down the images. However, the SKIMS co-founder later cleared the air, saying the decision was taken because they realized it was Remembrance Week.

Recently, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told GB News that the controversy exposed the “chaotic nature” of Markle and Harry’s PR team. According to him, the team should be careful when managing the couple’s public image in a celebrity circle.

The commentator said, “You can see why Meghan wanted to be with all those A-listers, because that’s what she failed to get supporting her, particularly with the podcasts and the cookery show.” He referred to the 44-year-old’s Netflix show, “With Love, Meghan,” which did well in season 1. But it failed to impress viewers in the following season. Therefore, Fitzwilliams told the outlet that Meghan Markle needed to be “seen” with A-listers, allegedly to seek their support.

Unfortunately, their attendance attracted attention for the wrong reasons. According to the expert, the sharing and removal of the photos on social media highlighted a major issue with the royal pair’s PR strategy.

Furthermore, he mentioned that Markle and Harry might have received backlash for the Kardashian incident. But it also had “one advantage.” Fitzwilliams concluded, “[It] is that they’ve still got a brand that everything they do is news, including the bad bits.”
