Elon Musk Calls Steve Bannon ‘Evil’ After Epstein Files Release

Elon Musk recently retweeted a social media post that talked about Steve Bannon‘s coordination with Jeffrey Epstein, following the release of the Epstein Files by the DOJ. The post, shared by IBC Group CEO and Founder Mario Nawfal, included photos and message screenshots showing that Epstein advised Bannon on topics, including funding, strategy, and messaging. Their collaboration ended when Epstein was arrested in July 2019.

Musk took to X (formerly Twitter) to respond to a tweet, which included the images and text messages between Epstein and Bannon, which revealed their coordination between 2017 and 2019.

The tweet read, “Epstein advised Bannon on funding (“need to understand flow of funds”), strategy, and messaging (“brilliant… help me develop that argument”). He pushed EU figures, claimed governments would fall “as planned,” arranged foreign introductions, and warned Bannon to “take no heat re me.” It further added that their collaboration concluded when Epstein was arrested in 2019. Sharing his reaction to the tweet shared by Nawfal, Musk tweeted, “Bannon is evil.”

Bannon and Musk’s feud dates back to sometime after Donald Trump‘s second administration started. Both of them were staunch supporters of the president but had different stances on major issues before Musk’s public feud with Trump over the Big Beautiful Bill. Last February, Bannon took a jab at Musk, questioning his immigration status and accusing him of unfairly using his influence in the US government. He also went to the extent of calling him “a parasitic illegal immigrant.”

The DOJ records revealed two hours of footage of the unreleased interview of Epstein and Bannon. In the clip, Bannon interviews Epstein as they discuss topics related to economics and philosophy and the latter’s time in jail, per The Guardian.

Additionally, Musk’s name has also popped up in the Epstein files, which he did address in a lengthy tweet. “No one pushed harder than me to have the Epstein files released, and I’m glad that has finally happened. I had very little correspondence with Epstein and declined repeated invitations to go to his island or fly on his “Lolita Express,” he wrote. He also mentioned that some emails could be misinterpreted and could be used to spoil his name.
