Final 2 Seasons of Beloved Sitcom Arriving on Netflix Soon

A popular comedy show’s final two seasons will be available to stream on Netflix later this month. Brooklyn Nine-Nine Seasons 7 and 8 were notably missing from the platform after the show concluded in 2021, but Netflix’s latest move finally gives subscribers access to the series’ final seasons. However, there’s one caveat.

Check out the key dates for the comedy show’s arrival on Netflix below.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 7 and 8 to hit Netflix soon

Brooklyn Nine-Nine Seasons 7 and 8 will finally stream on Netflix, starting Thursday, February 26, 2026.

Due to complex licensing issues between NBC and Netflix regarding the comedy show, not all seasons have been streaming on the platform. Netflix currently has only Seasons 3-6. While the final two seasons are being added, Seasons 3 and 4 will be removed from the service on the same date. This is similar to what happened last year, where Seasons 1 and 2 were replaced with Seasons 5 and 6.

As a result, Netflix subscribers will now have access to Brooklyn Nine-Nine Seasons 5 through 8. Meanwhile, NBCUniversal’s own streaming platform, Peacock, will continue to house all eight seasons of the show.

The series originally premiered on September 17, 2013, on Fox. After five seasons, Fox abruptly cancelled the series, leading to social media campaigns to renew it. The show even received support from Hollywood figures like veteran director Guillermo del Toro.

Within hours of the cancellation news, NBC picked up the show for more seasons. Since then, the network produced three more installments. It aired the final two episodes back-to-back on September 16, 2021.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine follows a team of detectives working at the fictional 99th Precinct of the NYPD. The show centers on Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and his colleagues, led by Captain Raymond Holt, portrayed by the late Andre Braugher. The show combines humor with episodic crime-solving, while exploring personal relationships.

The cast also featured Melissa Fumero, Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, Joe Lo Truglio, Chelsea Peretti, Dirk Blocker, and Joel McKinnon Miller.
