As per a new rumor, Peggy Carter reportedly joins Doctor Doom’s team as a villain in Avengers: Doomsday, as she believes his actions will help save the multiverse.
Prominent industry insider and scooper, Alex Perez of Cosmic Circus, recently hosted a Q&A session. He answered questions about Avengers: Doomsday and its direct sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, in the session. During this, a fan asked him if a Peggy Carter variant would be a “Doom Witch” in the film.
Perez responded, “It’s more of a follower of Doom than a Witch.” He clarified that she isn’t allied with Doctor Doom out of malice, stressing that she joins him out of the belief that his actions will help her and her son fix the current situation in the multiverse, which he partially attributed to Steve Rogers’ actions at the end of Avengers: Endgame.
The fan’s question is tied to rumors previously shared by a notable scooper, MyTimeToShineHello. The rumors were shared between January 19 and 21, 2026. The scooper first suggested that Steve Rogers and Carter would fight in Avengers: Doomsday. They then clarified by suggesting that the fight would be between a good Rogers and an evil Carter variant.
The scooper further clarified with another suggestion that Rogers could go toe-to-toe with a Doctor Doom variant of Carter. Days later, they claimed that it wouldn’t be a Doom variant of Carter but instead a follower or “sidekick witch.”
Ultimately, all of this is just speculation. Fans will have to wait until the film comes out to see how Peggy Carter will be utilized.
