Tom Hiddleston might take over from Daniel Craig to become the next James Bond. There is a lot of speculation on the internet, with various names being tossed around for the character. While there is no official confirmation from the makers, some media outlets are reporting that Tom Hiddleston could step into the iconic role of 007.

Tom Hiddleston might win odds to become James Bond

Tom Hiddleston might become the next James Bond after Daniel Craig. According to Coral, the makers are strongly considering Hiddleston, especially after he effectively portrayed an MI6 spy in The Night Manager. At 44, it seems like age isn’t a hindrance for him to play Bond. After all, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, and Pierce Brosnan were all of a similar age at their debut (Daily Express UK).

However, Amazon is eyeing a younger actor for the Bond reboot, and Jacob Elordi has been in talks with the director for the same. Coral’s John Hill revealed, “We have seen a surge of support for Jacob Elordi over the last 24 hours. Many punters feel he will be the first Australian to play 007 since George Lazenby.”

Notably, there are other names in the mix who are under consideration for Bond as well. These names include Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Henry Cavill, Theo James, Anthony Boyle, Harris Dickinson, Jack Lowden, and James Norton.

It seems like the internet is rallying behind Hiddleston to play the iconic 007 in the Bond reboot. One fan commented, “Surely we’ve seen the next James Bond in Tom Hiddleston with how charismatic he is in The Night Manager?” A second fan wrote, “Tom Hiddleston just mogs with s**ual tension and EQ in The Night Manager. Modern James Bond but with better acting.” Meanwhile, a third fan penned, “Can someone cast Tom Hiddleston as James Bond already?” Finally, a fan shared, “Tom Hiddleston as the next James Bond? That would be literally perfection.”

Notably, Amazon MGM Studios has reportedly hired Denis Villeneuve, of Dune fame, to direct the Bond reboot. Not only that, Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight will be screenwriting the reboot.
