Although Avengers: Doomsday is 10 months away from release, early reports about the film’s quality have surfaced. These reports are positive, indicating that things are looking good for Marvel’s upcoming massive cinematic project. The film began its marketing last month with four short character-centric teasers, released in a span of four weeks. While a full official teaser or trailer is yet to arrive, anticipation is quite high, only fueled by rumors and plot leaks giving insight into its possible storyline.
Marvel insiders are already praising Avengers: Doomsday
Several insiders have shared positive reviews for Avengers: Doomsday, with some positioning it as one of Marvel’s best films. One reviewer even suggested that the film surpasses Marvel’s previous films.
Notable industry insider Jeff Sneider, who said on The Hot Mic podcast that the film was in post-production and that Marvel had “a lot of pick-ups to do,” shared that the buzz surrounding the film was good. He added, “You’re going to like it. You’re going to like the movie.”
Meanwhile, familiar scooper MyTimetoShineHello showered considerable praise on the movie. They called it “the most epic movie OF ALL TIME” on X (formerly Twitter). MTTSH also claimed that the opening scene itself was better than previous Avengers films, adding that the final battle was “INSANE.”
Additionally, film critic and YouTuber John Campea said on his podcast, citing a source, that the “sheer amount and volume of action” in Doomsday, particularly when it comes to “minutes on screen and scope,” would eclipse Marvel’s previous movies.
Campea, who opined that the opening scenes of X2 and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice were “the two greatest comic book movie openings ever,” further said that Doomsday’s opening would “eclipse [both of them].” He added, “People are going to lose their minds.”
Moreover, Daniel RPK wrote on X that Doomsday is what fans expected Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to be. Notably, that film featured cameos from some major heroes, including Patrick Stewart’s Professor X, Hayley Atwell’s Captain Carter, and John Krasinski’s Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic) — all killed by Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch.
Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters on December 18, 2026. On the other hand, its direct sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, premieres on December 17, 2027. Both are directed by the Russo Brothers, who previously directed Infinity War and Endgame.
