HBO’s CEO has offered an update regarding Euphoria‘s future ahead of Season 3‘s launch in April 2026. The upcoming installment will take place five years after the previous one and move away from the high school setting. Notably, the first trailer premiered last month, offering a glimpse at the storylines of each of the main characters.
Euphoria Season 3 might not conclude the show
HBO’s CEO, Casey Bloys, recently gave an interview where he discussed the success of several of the platform’s shows, like The Pitt, Industry, and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. He also touched upon the finales of shows like Hacks, The Last of Us, and Euphoria.
While speaking with Deadline, Bloys was asked about reports that Sam Levinson had an idea for Euphoria Season 4. He replied that the showrunner was completing the third season. Bloys also praised Levinson’s handling of the characters. He said the latter “[came up] with an incredible way to move all [of them] ahead five years,” adding that it was “really exciting to see.”
Bloys continued, saying that he and HBO have only started viewing Levinson’s cuts for Season 3, which he thought were “great.” He stressed that he and Levinson will have discussions about the latter’s future creative plans. “But right now, he’s focused on finishing three and getting it out,” he further stated.
When asked if it was possible to bring back the cast for a potential fourth season, Bloys said he couldn’t address it. “We need to find out what Sam is thinking,” he emphasized. “What he wants to do creatively either with the show, with his life. I don’t know exactly what he wants to do next, so that’ll be a conversation with him. But he is in the thick of Season 3 right now.”
Euphoria Season 3 will premiere on April 12, 2026, and will follow a weekly Sunday release.
Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Martha Kelly, and Chloe Cherry will reprise their roles. Meanwhile, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Toby Wallace have joined the cast. Other returning cast members include Colman Domingo, Dominic Fike, Alanna Ubach, Daeg Faerch, Melvin Bonez Estes, Paula Marshall, Zak Steiner, and Marsha Gambles.
The upcoming season will feature a plethora of guest stars. They include Sharon Stone, Rosalía, Marshawn Lynch, Kadeem Hardison, and Anna Van Patten, among many others.
