Several networks and streamers confirmed the futures of their top TV properties throughout January 2026. From returning anthology dramas to fresh comedy renewals and final season orders, dozens of titles secured upcoming seasons during this period.

The Lowdown
FX renewed the crime comedy The Lowdown for Season 2. The show stars Ethan Hawke as Tulsa-based citizen journalist Lee Raybon and is created by Sterlin Harjo. Season 2 begins production in spring 2026.
Mayor of Kingstown
Paramount+ renewed Mayor of Kingstown for a fifth and final season. Season 5 will consist of eight episodes and stars Jeremy Renner as Mike McLusky. The show is created by Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon.
Real Time with Bill Maher
HBO renewed Real Time with Bill Maher for Seasons 25 and 26. The talk show continues its Friday night format with topical panel discussions and the New Rules segment. Bill Maher remains executive producer.
The Pitt
HBO Max renewed medical drama The Pitt for Season 3. The series, created by R. Scott Gemmill, follows the ER staff in Pittsburgh. Season 2 premiered on January 7, 2026.
Black Mirror
Netflix renewed Black Mirror for Season 8. Created by Charlie Brooker, the anthology series returns following Season 7’s Golden Globe nominations.
Emily in Paris
Netflix renewed Emily in Paris for Season 6. Created by Darren Star, the series continues to follow Lily Collins as Emily Cooper. Season 5 premiered in late December 2025.
Culinary Class Wars
Netflix renewed Culinary Class Wars for Season 3. The Korean cooking competition will feature four-chef teams representing restaurants. Paik Jong-won and Anh Sung-jae return as hosts.
Shrinking
Apple TV+ renewed Shrinking for Season 4. The series stars Jason Segel and Harrison Ford and returns January 28, 2026. It has received nine Emmy nominations.
The Asset
Netflix renewed the Danish spy drama The Asset for Season 2. The show debuted in October 2025 and reached No. 1 in 52 countries. Clara Dessau and Maria Cordsen will return.
The Lincoln Lawyer
Netflix renewed The Lincoln Lawyer for Season 5. The new season is based on Michael Connelly’s Resurrection Walk and follows Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as Mickey Haller.
It’s Florida, Man
HBO Max renewed It’s Florida, Man for Season 3. The comedy anthology is based on Australia’s True Story with Hamish & Andy. Cast details for Season 3 are unannounced.
10 CBS Shows
CBS renewed 10 series including Matlock, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, Tracker, Elsbeth, Fire Country, NCIS, NCIS: Origins, NCIS: Sydney, Survivor, and The Amazing Race.
Everything on the Menu with Braun Strowman
USA Network renewed Everything on the Menu with Braun Strowman for Season 2. The food-travel show returns with 12 episodes, featuring Braun Strowman exploring American regional cuisine.
