The photos of the two from the outing came out amid the “toxic” mom group drama, which has been making headlines for quite some time now. The drama began after the “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody” actor penned an essay titled “Breaking Up With My Toxic Mom Group” for The Cut. The essay was published in January 2026 and immediately went viral.
As soon as Tisdale’s essay for The Cut came out, rumors started to swirl all around the internet. Fans were quick to speculate that the former mom group the actor talked about included several notable celebrity moms. The speculated list included Haylie Duff’s younger sister, Hilary Duff. It also allegedly included Meghan Trainor and Mandy Moore, among others.
While Hilary has chosen to stay silent, her husband, Matthew Koma, had quite a harsh reply to the essay, which he posted on his Instagram Stories.
Meanwhile, this is Tisdale and Haylie’s second outing since the former dropped the essay. In the Malibu photos, fans can see the “Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure” actor donning a chic loose-fit jacket. She paired it with jeans and a pair of loafers. The “Love Finds a Home” actor was wearing a comfy long-sleeve top and a pair of denim jeans. As for shoes, Haylie opted for a pair of sneakers.
