Apple TV has dropped a major update on Ted Lasso Season 4, indicating the release date window of the upcoming season. It also shared first-look images and new plot details that focus on Ted’s return to Richmond.

Apple TV has confirmed that Ted Lasso will return for its fourth season in summer 2026. The announcement comes as production on the new episodes continues.
Several original cast members are set to come back, including Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift. The upcoming season will also introduce new faces such as Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsey, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern and Grant Feely.
Jason Sudeikis will return on screen as Ted Lasso and will also serve as an executive producer for Season 4. Hunt, who plays Coach Beard, will continue in a dual role as both cast member and executive producer. Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee and Bill Wrubel will remain involved behind the scenes as executive producers. Goldstein, who portrays Roy Kent, will also contribute creatively as a writer and executive producer alongside Leanne Bowen.
Apple TV reveals first look photos and plot details for Ted Lasso Season 4
Apple TV has also released a new set of preview images from Ted Lasso Season 4 and outlined the central storyline for the upcoming season of the comedy.
According to Apple TV’s official synopsis, the new chapter finds Ted back in Richmond and facing an unfamiliar challenge. He is tasked with coaching a women’s team competing in the second division, a challenge that pushes both him and the club.
The new images highlight several of these changes. Two photos introduce Tanya Reynolds as a new assistant coach working alongside Ted and longtime colleague Coach Beard. Another image confirms Grant Feely’s debut as Ted’s son, Henry, following the role’s recasting. It shows the pair inside Mae Green’s Crown & Anchor pub in London. A final photograph captures Ted standing with Rebecca in front of the Richmond jet.
