Samsung is launching its first TriFold in the U.S. at this price

The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is launching in the U.S. on January 30, 2026, at Samsung Experience Stores and Samsung.com, starting at $2,899. It’s available in a Crafted Black colorway with 512GB storage. The device is Samsung’s most expensive foldable phone yet, surpassing the Galaxy Z Fold.

The Galaxy Z TriFold embodies Samsung’s technological advancements, offering enhanced productivity and immersive entertainment experiences. Its innovative multi-folding design reveals a spacious 10-inch display, exemplifying the company’s expertise in foldable technology.

“Samsung has a long history of pioneering category defining devices”, said Drew Blackard, Senior Vice President of Mobile Product Management at Samsung Electronics America. “Galaxy Z TriFold builds on that legacy with a standout form factor that allows users to enjoy the convenience of a smartphone and the usability of a tablet within a single design that can fold into your pocket.”

The Galaxy Z TriFold boasts a sleek frame, measuring just 3.9 mm at its thinnest point, combining power and portability. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, it comes with a 200 MP camera and a large battery. Galaxy AI features like Photo Assist and Generative Edit make it Samsung’s most versatile creative platform yet.

Furthermore, the Galaxy Z TriFold’s AI is geared up to assist users on the go. With Gemini Live, it understands one’s context, actions, and surroundings, providing more flexibility and control.

Lastly, the Galaxy Z TriFold’s main display has passed a rigorous 200,000-cycle multi-folding test equivalent to folding it 100 times daily for 5 years. Every unit undergoes tough quality checks, including CT scans of its circuit board, ensuring top reliability.
