Margot Robbie details Wuthering Heights bachelorette party her friends organized
On her latest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Margot Robbie shared details from a bachelorette party thrown in honor of her upcoming Wuthering Heights character, Catherine Earnshaw.
“My friends, who are amazing, threw a bachelorette for Cathy,” Margot Robbie said as she recounted the experience. “I kind of thought it was a joke at first. And I was like, ‘Wait, are we really going to have a fake bachelorette for an imaginary character?’ They were like ‘Yes, absolutely.’ So I thought that’s a great idea.”
“That’s a great idea because you could do anything you want and just say it was Cathy,” Kimmel quipped. The Suicide Squad actress replied, “I should have used that. [Maybe] next time I have an imaginary bachelorette.”
The Wolf of Wall Street actress then denied revealing too many details, citing that there’s “girls’ code.” However, she shared that she screened the movie for her friends and called it “the most unhinged experience” of her life. She added, “I mean, first of all, it was the funnest Wednesday night I’ve ever had in my life. Like, it ended up being like the craziest night ever.”
The I, Tonya actress went on to explain that her friends were commenting, screaming, and sobbing throughout the movie, and even called them “rabid dogs”. She shared that they were all dressed in corsets and laces, recalling the theme of the night to be “Victorian slutty.”
The Oscar-nominated actress then revealed that her friends celebrated when her co-star Jacob Elordi appeared on the screen. She joked, “Honestly, I was like, ‘If he walked in right now, I think they would eat him.’” She was relieved that it all happened in a very private space and not in public, acknowledging that there was “nothing appropriate” about the night.
Wuthering Heights will hit theaters on February 13, 2026.
