In those clips, the singer belts out songs, usually from the shower, while the camera stays locked on his girlfriend’s reactions, keeping him a total mystery. When Bryant finally met judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, and Carrie Underwood, he revealed that fans had never actually seen him before.
He played right into that intrigue during his audition. Bryant kicked things off by singing Phil Collins’ “Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)” while standing behind a pillar, letting his vocals do the magic. Mid-performance, he stepped into the spotlight at this season’s “Idol University,” and the reveal was worth the wait.
