Pawn Stars’ Corey Harrison ‘Messed Up’ After Motorcycle Accident

Pawn StarsCorey “Big Hoss” Harrison is recovering after a frightening motorcycle accident that left him with serious injuries. Though shaken, Corey is optimistic about his recovery and plans to share the full story with viewers in an upcoming episode of The Corey Harrison Show.

Pawn Stars’ Corey Harrison breaks ribs in motorcycle accident

Corey Harrison suffered a major setback when a solo motorcycle crash resulted in 11 broken ribs. Posting from his hospital bed, Corey wrote on Instagram, “Pretty messed up, but I’m good. Crash bars are awesome. Three nights in the hospital. 11 breaks in my rib cage.” Fans immediately sent an outpouring of support as he faced a long recovery. He is expected to remain on strict bed rest for six weeks while his injuries heal, a representative told EW.

The timing of the accident was particularly difficult. Corey was forced to miss the wedding of his father, Rick Harrison, who married Agripina “Angie” Polushkin on January 3 at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas. The couple celebrated with a small ceremony led by an Elvis impersonator and later regaled at Rick’s own restaurant, Rick’s Rollin Smoke BBQ & Tavern. Despite missing the event, Rick visited Corey in the hospital.

Corey and Rick have been the heart of Pawn Stars since it kicked off in 2009, following the day-to-day at their family-run Las Vegas pawn shop. Corey, famous for his big personality on the show, recently stepped back from filming to focus on his own life, moving to Tulum, Mexico.

He explained he’s done playing a younger version of himself on TV, saying, “At this stage of the game, we’re all playing a character on Pawn Stars. I can’t play another season of 41-year-old me pretending to be 23.”

Meanwhile, Rick and Angie threw a bigger wedding celebration later in January with friends and family. Corey’s absence was noticeable, but the family is still close, supporting him as he works on recovering.
