There’s ‘No Magic Wand’ for Ex-Prince Andrew’s Issues, Says Expert

Ex-Prince Andrew’s new home and a fresh start may look like a clean break on paper, but royal watchers claim that the bigger issues for the royal family won’t disappear just because Andrew changes his address. The former Duke of York has faced years of negative attention, and even with reported punishment, the public debate around him does not cease.

Expert believes no magic wand exists to fix ex-Prince Andrew’s issues

Speaking to GB News, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said that the issues with ex-Prince Andrew won’t resolve overnight. He said, “I don’t think there is a magic wand here, there is still a lot to be settled, with Royal Lodge,” which appears to include the very business of moving out.

GB News reported that removal activity has picked up at Royal Lodge, the Grade II-listed, 30-room Windsor home Andrew has occupied under a long lease. Sources have claimed he has been served notice and will leave “sooner rather than later.” Now, attention has shifted to Sandringham, where Andrew is expected to relocate to Marsh Farm on the estate, with palace insiders claiming that he will stay in a smaller property until work at Marsh Farm finishes, likely around Easter.

One source described the scale of the change in lifestyle, noting, “The snow or rain hasn’t delayed the work on Marsh Farm but it still needs a lot of attention to make it habitable. But one thing for sure is that it is a lot, lot smaller and less luxurious than Royal Lodge.” Moreover, The Sun reported that workers have been on site, with security systems going in and a six-foot fence being installed around the home’s perimeter.

Furthermore, a friend of Andrew’s added that the move could happen fast, claiming, “He’s finally decided he needs to get on with his life and so is moving out sooner than thought and starting afresh by the end of the month, or at least before his birthday in February.” The friend also claimed Andrew and Sarah Ferguson will “live separate lives” for the first time in nearly 20 years.
