Blake Lively Labelled ‘F***ing Terrorist’ By Sony Executive — Report

A Sony executive had reportedly called Blake Lively a “a f***ing terrorist” during a deposition amidst the ongoing legal tussle between the actress and Justin Baldoni. The remark came shortly after Lively had reportedly threatened to walk away from the production of It Ends With Us.

Andrea Giannetti, an executive vice president of production and senior creative at Sony Pictures, has reportedly called Blake Lively a “f***ing terrorist.” The comment was made during her deposition connected to Lively’s highly publicized ongoing legal battle with her It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios.

The testimony was made public on Tuesday, January 20, ahead of a summary judgment hearing in the lawsuit. During her September 23 deposition, Giannetti confirmed that she used the profanity against Lively while speaking to producer Jamey Heath after finding out that the actress reportedly threatened to quit the film if a list of her requested changes, outlined as a “17-point list,” were not accepted.

When asked whether Giannetti called Lively, “a f—ing terrorist,” she admitted, “Yes.” The Sony executive went on to testify that the studio has already invested around $28 million in It Ends With Us, and the project could have become “unreleasable” if production had halted at the time.

“There was a tremendous amount of money that had been invested and spent, and we had to finish the movie, or it was unreleasable,” she explained.

However, despite the tense behind-the-scenes moment, Giannetti reached out to Lively to show appreciation for her involvement and contribution in the movie, following its release. In a message sent on August 11, 2024, Giannetti wrote, “Blake, $50 million!! Your blood, sweat, tears, brilliant smarts, heart and soul in every single frame. My God, it’s incredible. Thank you 50 million times. And it’s only Saturday night.” (via People)

Blake Lively’s lawsuit against Justin Baldoni and his PR counsel is scheduled for trial on May 18, 2026.
