Jeremy Renner reacted to the renewal of Mayor of Kingstown Season 5 on January 6, 2026. Posting on X, Renner wrote, “Thank you all the fans of @kingstown. Were all so very excited to bring another season !!! Last one for paramount plus!”
He also shared a video stating, “Season five. Rebirth. Renew. Here we go. Very excited. And, uh… just wanted to take a minute and say thank you. And I love you.”
Paramount+ announced on January 5, 2026, that Mayor of Kingstown was renewed for a fifth and final season. The show is created by Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon and stars Renner as Mike McLusky. Season 5 will feature eight episodes, a reduction from the ten-episode format of previous seasons. The announcement came shortly after the Season 4 finale, which aired on December 28, 2025.

Season 4 followed Mike’s attempt to maintain control in Kingstown amid a gang war and shifting power dynamics. Paramount+ has not released a Season 5 synopsis. Other returning cast members include Edie Falco, Lennie James, Laura Benanti, Hugh Dillon, Taylor Handley, and Tobi Bamtefa.
