Bad Bunny Falls On Stage But Fans Save the Day

Bad Bunny fell on stage during the highly anticipated Mexico City show on Wednesday. However, the brief stumble didn’t slow the momentum for long, thanks to thousands of fans who immediately stepped in to keep the energy high.

Bad Bunny was performing his hit track “Efecto” at the GNP Seguros Stadium when he appeared to lose his footing while dancing, and then he fell on the stage. The singer sat on the floor for a few moments after the fall, prompting the packed crowd of 65,000 attendees to take over the song.

Fans continued singing the lyrics loudly until the Puerto Rican artist got back on his feet and resumed the performance. Bad Bunny then shouted out to the Mexico City crowd, acknowledging their support and enthusiasm after the incident, which was captured in multiple fan videos from the event.

The December 10 concert was one of the first of eight shows in the capital as part of his Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour. Bad Bunny told the audience that closing the year in Mexico was intentional, saying, “You are the last city I’ll visit this year, and that wasn’t by chance, it was planned. We have to close the year in Mexico!” He encouraged fans to “set the bar high” for the remaining nights.

The audience, which was made up of locals and fans from 77 countries, delivered on that request throughout the two-hour set. Bad Bunny also added “Chambea” exclusively for the Mexico shows and gave a message about unity between Puerto Rico and Mexico. “If there’s one thing Puerto Rico and Mexico have in common, it’s how proud we are of our culture and land,” he said. Bad Bunny falling on stage comes just months ahead of a major announcement, aka headlining the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show in February 2026.
