It was a great year for Taylor Swift, who saw a steady rise in her popularity. She also got engaged to the Chiefs star, Travis Kelce, and is currently planning her wedding. She also remains one of the most popular figures in the world. However, she has sometimes faced criticism, with some critics telling her to step out of the spotlight now. She had a simple four-word explanation for why she would not.

During her recent appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Swift said that one of the things she really looks up to in artists is longevity. “Career longevity, friendship longevity, longevity in their relationships,” she said, “How do you keep a good thing going?’ I think there are certain corners of our society that really love that and look up to longevity.”

The popstar went on to address what critics tell her, “There are also corners that are like, ‘Give someone else a turn. Can’t you just go away so that we can talk about how good you were?” Her response to this is quite simple. She added, “I’m like, ‘I don’t want to.'”

Taylor Swift remains regularly in discussions, especially with her highly anticipated wedding approaching. The singer-songwriter got engaged to Travis Kelce in August, announcing it in a joint post on Instagram. It became one of the most talked-about subjects around the globe at the time.

Since then, there have been numerous discussions around her upcoming wedding. Fans and even other artists have expressed their excitement for the same.
