So, she decided to sell the photos of her children to keep the paparazzi at bay. She even earned a hefty sum for the pictures. But instead of keeping the money, Hilaria revealed she donated the amount to a good cause. She shared the story during her recent appearance on the “Viall Files” podcast.
Hilaria Baldwin reveals she donated money after selling kids’ photos
Mother of seven children, Hilaria Baldwin, recently admitted that she sold her kids’ photos to the paparazzi and earned a good amount of money because of it. However, she revealed that she later donated the amount to a charity.
Hilaria revealed the details during the Wednesday, December 10, episode of “The Viall Files” podcast when asked about her decision to share her kids’ pictures on social media.
“I don’t think there’s a right answer but I found that the more I [tried to hide them], the more [interest] there was. The culture — even though 12 years ago is not a long time — it was very different back then,” she explained, per US Magazine.
“So I sold the first photos of the first few kids.” The 41-year-old yoga instructor then revealed that the money “felt like a gross thing anyway,” so she “donated that money.” “Our first child was $95,000 and I donated all of that. It felt meaningful.”
The entrepreneur “donated” the money “to an organization in Mallorca” where her “family lives.” “It was for children who have been sexually abused,” she stated.
“So I wanted to say, ‘OK, here’s the system. Somebody’s going to make money off of this. There’s money to be had, and I’m going to put that in a good place.’”
But it seems, after selling pictures of “first few,” she did not sell the photos of her other kids. “It became less of a thing as I had more children and for everybody since the business is changing.”
The couple are parents to Carmen Gabriela, Rafael Thomas, Leonardo Ángel Charles, Romeo Alejandro David, Eduardo “Edu” Pao Lucas, María Lucía Victoria, and Ilaria Catalina Irena.
