Jensen Ackles will reunite with one of his former co-stars, Jared Padalecki, in the fifth and final season of The Boys. The duo previously worked together on Supernatural. Ackles and Padalecki played brothers in the action, adventure, drama, fantasy, horror, and mystery series. Ackles played Dean Winchester, while Padalecki portrayed his younger brother Sam in the series.

Supernatural brothers Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki reunite in The Boys season 5 trailer. Ackles and Padalecki’s highly anticipated reunion serves as the perfect finishing touch to an epic, eagerly awaited finale next year.
While Ackles appeared in season three itself, Padalecki will appear in the fifth and final season. While not much information about Padalecki’s character is available as of yet, he makes an appearance with Ackles in the brief trailer. Padalecki appears in a tracksuit, followed closely behind by Soldier Boy, played by his former on-screen brother Ackles. Not just Padalecki, Misha Collins will appear in The Boys season 5 as well. However, his appearance remains elusive.
It is not surprising, considering showrunner Eric Kripke also previously helmed the CW series Supernatural. Fans are equally stoked to watch the Supernatural reunion. One fan commented, “I love that they keep incorporating more of the Supernatural cast.” Another fan wrote, “I love how the editing is done when they introduce Jared’s character. Immediately cutting to Jensen, where he gives a look that just screams ‘Sam?’”
A third fan penned, “Got Sam and Dean back together,” accompanied by a crying emoji. Finally, a fourth fan chimed in, “Bringing back the Winchester brothers to the Renegade song—what an awesome callback.”
Not only fans, it seems like Jared Padalecki is equally excited to reunite with his on-screen brother Jensen Ackles. He shared a still on his Instagram stories with the caption, “Be seeing you soon,” and tagged Ackles’ account. (via Bleeding Cool).
The Boys will have a two-episode premiere on Amazon’s Prime Video on April 8, 2026. A weekly release will follow in the lead-up to the series finale on May 20.
