Kim Matula, an alumna of the CBS daytime soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful, has joined the cast of Netflix’s The Hunting Wives Season 2. The first season of the drama series premiered on July 21, 2025, and became a massive success. In September 2025, Netflix renewed the series for a sophomore season.
Kim Matula and Alex FitzAlan join The Hunting Wives Season 2 cast
Besides Kim Matula, The Hunting Wives has also added Alex FitzAlan to its Season 2 cast roster. The Australian actor is known for various roles in projects like 2018’s Slender Man and the Stan drama series Prosper.
According to Variety, Matula will portray a character named Nadia Kelly, while FitzAlan will essay the role of Lincoln Trout. However, further details about these characters remain strictly under wraps. Showrunner Rebecca Cutter created The Hunting Wives from May Cobb’s namesake book.
Matula and FitzAlan are joining the cast that includes Brittany Snow as Sophie O’Neil, Malin Akerman as Margo Banks, Evan Jonigkeit as Graham O’Neil, Katie Lowes as Jill, Dermot Mulroney as Jed Banks, Karen Rodriguez as Deputy Wanda Salazar, and Hunter Emery as Deputy Walter Flynn.
The Hunting Wives was originally supposed to air on Starz, but Netflix acquired its rights from Lionsgate. The plot predominantly revolves around two women, Sophie and Margo. The former relocates to Maple Brook, a fictional town in Texas, with her husband and encounters Margo, who is the wife of her husband’s boss. As the plot develops, Margo becomes interested in Sophie.
During a November 2025 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Brittany Snow revealed whether she had yet visited the writers’ room for season 2. “I did! I asked to go in, and I wanted to pick their brain and see where it was going,” she said. “I’m not a writer or a producer, so I can’t offer them my opinion necessarily, but I shared some ideas, and they can take them and throw them out, as I’m sure they did.”
The Hunting Wives Season 2 commenced production in November 2025. Meanwhile, Season 1 is available for streaming on Netflix.
