During his appearance on the New Heights podcast with Jason and Travis Kelce, George Clooney reacted to Jason Kelce’s “fat Batman” costume by saying, “You could be one of the bad guys in the film.” Clooney also joked, “By the way, both of you and I know that I was the best Batman. You know that, right?” He added, “I’m the only one who had rubber nipples,” referencing his costume from Batman & Robin.
Jason Kelce wore a Batman costume for a humorous segment, and the hosts showed it to George Clooney during the episode. Clooney commented on the suit’s details, saying, “Rubber nipples didn’t come through right there,” and joked about their appearance in colder weather: “It was like two Dunlop tires coming out. Bad look.”
The exchange was part of a wide-ranging discussion that included Clooney’s reflections on his time in Batman & Robin. He called it “famously one of the worst films of all time,” and added, “I’m terrible in it.” He recalled wearing the 75-pound rubber suit and lying on a board during filming. Director Joel Schumacher once said before a take, “Your parents are dead, you have nothing to live for, and action,” to which Clooney responded, “I’m Batman.”
Clooney also shared stories about his past pranks, including using fake presidential stationery with Bill Clinton’s name to send letters to actors, praising their weaker films. “I guarantee you some of them are framed,” he said. He added that he once impersonated Brad Pitt by sending Meryl Streep a book of accent CDs, signing it, “Dear Meryl, from Brad.” She didn’t learn the truth until four years later.
Clooney confirmed he and Pitt are working on another Ocean’s film, saying, “Everything’s been agreed to… We’ve got a really good script.”
