Jake Paul is all set to take on former two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in a heavyweight fight on Friday, December 19, 2025. The bout will take place at the Kaseya Center in Miami. Fans can tune into the much-awaited fight on Netflix.

Paul was originally slated to take on Gervonta Davis in an exhibition match. However, on November 3, the bout was canceled following allegations against Davis.

The WBA title holder is currently facing a lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend Courtney Rossel, wherein she accused him of “battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.” (via ESPN)

Despite the last-minute cancellation, Paul was determined to compete by the end of this year. With Davis no longer available, the YouTuber-turned-boxer was exploring multiple potential contenders to face in the ring.

Anthony Joshua had already been on Paul’s fight wish list before the latter landed on Davis. He had originally planned on fighting Joshua sometime next year after his match with Davis. However, the pair agreed to move the fight up to late 2025.

Unlike the originally planned fight with Davis, the Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua bout will not be an exhibition match. Rather, it will be a sanctioned heavyweight fight that is set to last for eight three-minute rounds.

Fans are excited to see how Paul fares against the two-time heavyweight champion and former Olympic gold medalist. Not only is the YouTube star facing a much more skilled and experienced opponent than he is, but one who has a significantly bigger build. Paul’s highest recorded weight was 227¼ pounds, whereas Joshua has previously weighed in at 254 pounds.
