There has been a boom in functional humanoid AI robots recently, with all the prominent countries joining the race. However, sometimes these experiments can fail, which is exactly what happened to a Russian AI robot. The humanoid AI robot that arrived on stage with popular theme music and a lot of anticipation soon landed flat on its face, leading to a moment of complete chaos. This incident has sparked many reactions on social media platforms.
AI robot falls after taking first steps on stage
A humanoid AI robot from Russia, named AIdol, the first anthropomorphic robot from the country, made its debut on November 11, 2025. However, what followed wasn’t great applause, but absolute chaos.
As seen in a video that has since gone viral on social media platforms like X, the robot takes its first, rather slow, steps on the stage after it is unveiled to the music of Rocky (1976). But as it moves forward, the robot tries to make a hand gesture and falls face-first. There is a struggle as the panicked staffers try to pick it up, but it only worsens the situation. It ends with two others desperately trying to cover the mishap with a sheet, which also fails miserably.
The video was posted by @Gerashchenko_en on X with the caption, “Russia presented its human-like AI robot. It fell down as it walked onto the stage.” The post garnered many reactions.
“A bit embarrassing, I reckon. But how about those dudes with the sheet! ??,” one user wrote. Another user wrote, “What’s worse is the sheet guy… total fail.” Yet another user commented, “Is this real? Why would they present this?”
Robots failing to function in certain situations have been a source of laughter for quite some time. However, the massive improvements in technology have led to fewer such failures in recent years.
