What happens in A Proud Family Wizmas trailer?
The trailer opens with Wizard Kelly introducing his own version of the holiday season. He announces, “Ho, ho, ho, Merry Wizmas Eve, y’all! That’s right. The Wizard done changed the name of Christmas, y’all!”
His new celebration quickly becomes a point of disagreement when Santa asks children at a shopping mall, “What do you want for Wizmas?” Penny Proud immediately challenges the idea and tells Santa, “You know there’s no such thing as Wizmas. It’s just a made-up fake holiday for Wizard Kelly to make even more money. You should be ashamed!”
Her remarks upset the children and create chaos throughout the town. Santa eventually gives up and announces, “I’m gonna get out of here and do me.” When Penny asks who will deliver the presents, he responds, “You can do it for all I care.”
Penny insists, “But I’m not Santa!” However, Santa uses magic to dress her in a Santa costume and tells her, “You are now.” The trailer then shows Penny dealing with the consequences of taking on the job. Her attempts to deliver presents lead to several chaotic situations, offering a preview of the special’s holiday comedy.
Kyla Pratt returns to voice Penny Proud, while Tommy Davidson, Paula Jai Parker, and JoMarie Payton reprise their respective roles as members of the Proud family. The guest cast includes Anderson .Paak, Lil Rel Howery, JB Smoove, and Gabrielle Union.
