What do we see in the Love Language trailer?
The trailer opens with Chloë Grace Moretz’s Louisa “Lou” Klaussner, an aspiring author who tries to indulge in a side hustle of writing wedding vows when her friend, played by Billie Lourd, asks, “You’re the best writer I know. Help me write my vows?”
Louisa agrees, but soon struggles to find true love in her own life. She first meets a rich and handsome Dash (Anthony Ramos) who tells her, “The wedding business is like a billion-dollar industry. You can make like mad racks.” They start dating, but Louisa’s past knocks at the door. She reconnects with her college crush Warren (Manny Jacinto).
Despite being engaged to Olivia (Isabel May), who’s also one of Louisa’s wedding-vow clients, Warren shares his true feelings. “I was in love with you in college,” he tells Louisa. The trailer then teases the chaos as she tries to find real love and chase her dream of becoming a successful author.
While the plot seems captivating, it also resembles Dakota Johnson’s romantic comedy Materialists. The movie also follows a woman torn between a wealthy man and her ex while managing her career as an ambitious matchmaker.
The ensemble cast of Love Language also includes Lukas Gage and Chloe Fineman. Joey Power wrote and directed the film. Bert Hamelinck, Allison Hironaka, Ari Lubet, Colin Jost, and Jeff Grosvenor serve as producers.
Love Language will release in select theaters, on digital platforms, and on demand starting on October 23, 2026.
