New Coyote vs. Acme Clip Puts John Cena Face-To-Face With Foghorn Leghorn

John Cena comes face to face with Foghorn Leghorn in a new clip from Coyote vs. Acme. The scene gives a closer look at the unusual legal battle at the center of the live-action animated film.

Exclusively shared by Screen Rant, the preview shows Cena’s Buddy Crane meeting Foghorn to discuss Wile E. Coyote’s lawsuit against Acme. Foghorn is revealed as the company’s CEO and has been hiding in Bora Bora.

Buddy has learned about the case from the Albuquerque Journal. He wants to settle the matter quickly before Acme suffers a major public relations problem.

The meeting also brings some classic Foghorn humor. Buddy uses the phrase “killing two birds with one stone.” Foghorn takes the phrase literally and responds, “Two birds, one stone. What a vile expression!” He then warns Buddy that exposing Acme’s bigger secrets could be extremely unpleasant.

Coyote vs. Acme brings John Cena’s character into Foghorn Leghorn’s world

John Cena‘s character, Buddy Crane, is a defense attorney working for Acme Corporation. This job puts him on the opposite side of Wile E. Coyote’s legal battle against the company. Foghorn Leghorn has a major connection to Acme beyond his animated antics. As the corporation’s CEO, he sits above Buddy in the company hierarchy.

Will Forte plays billboard lawyer Kevin Avery, who takes Wile E.’s case. Lana Condor stars as Paige Avery, while Eric Bauza voices Foghorn Leghorn.

The movie’s official synopsis reads, “After Acme products fail him one too many times in his dogged pursuit of the Roadrunner, Wile E. Coyote decides to hire a billboard lawyer to sue the Acme Corporation.”

Dave Green directs the movie, which combines live-action performances with animated Looney Tunes characters. Samy Burch wrote the screenplay, with James Gunn and Jeremy Slater among those credited with the story.

The project faced a major setback before reaching theaters. Warner Bros. shelved the completed movie in 2023 as a tax write-off. Ketchup Entertainment later acquired the film for theatrical distribution.

Coyote vs. Acme will be released in U.S. theaters on August 28, 2026.
