Matt Damon provides a hopeful update on Ocean’s 14. Damon has also revealed a major block that is hindering the plans despite the upbeat tone.
What is the Ocean’s 14 update?
Damon, fresh from his success in The Odyssey, has been a regular in the Ocean’s franchise, directed by Steven Soderbergh. He appeared in Ocean’s 11, Ocean’s 12, and Ocean’s 13. Currently, fans are getting hyped for a possible Ocean’s 13 sequel.
In an appearance on the Rich Eisen Show, Damon was asked about his role in the upcoming Ocean’s movie. Initially, The Odyssey actor stated that the film is very much in development and all the stars, too, were excited for the production to get underway. However, there was one major problem.
Damon said, “Because it’s just everybody’s schedules. You got to get you got to get everything right and make and I mean I think they’re they’re probably close on that one.” Such a logistical challenge means production will be delayed significantly. Thankfully, Damon also left some notes for the fans to feel hopeful about despite all the complications. He stated that the crew is closer than ever to making Ocean’s 14 a reality.
Earlier this year, George Clooney confirmed that the production was expected to get underway in October. But The Odyssey actor’s latest revelation would surely mean that they’ll have to wait longer for Ocean’s 14. Offering some interesting insight into the plot, Clooney previously revealed that the movie will draw inspiration from Going in Style, released in 1979.
Directed by Martin Brest, the film revolves around a couple of bank robbers grappling with aging. Clooney also confirmed that the latest edition of the Ocean’s franchise will be a star-studded affair. Don Cheadle, Andy Garcia, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, and Damon will all be expected to team up.
