Christopher Nolan‘s highly rated psychological thriller movie has officially been added to Netflix‘s collection. Following its debut, the film received a Fresh score of 94% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 185 reviews.

Beginning today, Nolan’s 2001 R-rated neo-noir thriller Memento is finally available to stream on Netflix. In the film, Guy Pearce played the role of Leonard Shelby, an insurance investigator who can no longer form new memories after he and his wife were attacked. It also starred Carrie-Anne Moss as Natalie, Joe Pantoliano as Teddy, Mark Boone Junior as Burt, Jorja Fox as Catherine, Stephen Tobolowsky as Sammy, and more. The movie was nominated for two Academy Awards, including Best Original Screenplay and Best Film Editing.
“Leonard is tracking down the man who raped and murdered his wife. The difficulty, however, of locating his wife’s killer is compounded by the fact that he suffers from a rare, untreatable form of memory loss. Although he can recall details of life before his accident, Leonard cannot remember what happened fifteen minutes ago, where he’s going, or why,” reads the official synopsis.
Memento was written and directed by Nolan. It was based on a short story by his brother and frequent collaborator, Jonathan Nolan. The film was produced by Jennifer Todd and Suzanne Todd, with Aaron Ryder serving as an executive producer. The creative team also included associate producer Emma Thomas, casting director John Papsidera, director of photography Wally Pfister, editor Dody Dorn, composer David Julyan, production designer Patti Podesta, and costume designer Cindy Evans.
