Enola Holmes 3 star Millie Bobby Brown doesn’t want her co-star Henry Cavill to have his own spin-off in the franchise. The former Stranger Things actress plays the titular role in Netflix’s movie series which started six years ago.
Why doesn’t Enola Holmes 3’s Millie Bobby Brown want Henry Cavill to have a spin-off movie?
Millie Bobby Brown’s portrayal of Enola Holmes has won over fans across the first two installments. In the movies, her character is the sister of famous detective Sherlock Holmes, played by Henry Cavill.
Ahead of the premiere of the third installment, Enola Holmes 3, Bobby Brown sat down with ComicBook to discuss the future of Netflix’s hit franchise. When asked if other characters, such as Cavill’s Sherlock, should have their own spin-offs moving forward, the actress had a blunt response. “I think we need more women on screen, so maybe not,” she said. “I think we’ve had that. Men have had their time, and it’s more Enola and more putting women on screen, for me.”
Since the release of the first film in 2020, the Enola Holmes franchise has been a huge success for Netflix. The first part wooed critics and viewers alike, with a stellar 91% Tomatometer score and a good 71% Popcornmeter score on Rotten Tomatoes. It also had an amazing debut, taking the second spot among Netflix’s most-watched movies.

Four years ago, Enola Holmes 2 surpassed the original in critical reception, earning a 93% Tomatometer score and 79% Popcornmeter score on Rotten Tomatoes. The sequel also topped Netflix’s global chart upon release.
Enola Holmes 3 is now available on Netflix following its July 1 premiere. Besides Bobby Brown and Cavill, the movie also features Himesh Patel as Dr. John Watson, Helena Bonham Carter as Eudoria Holmes, and Sharon Duncan-Brewster as Mira Troy, among others.
