Marisa Papen, who we have mentioned before on here to spotlight her Instagram which is filled with nothing but NSFW goodies, was recently arrested for getting naked in Egypt. In front of the pyramids. Let us explain.

The Belgian model travels the world a lot and has zero issues getting naked in all different spots. One of those spots was the Pyramids of Egypt, a country where going topless in public is a big no-no. Papen and photographer Jesse Walker teamed up for his ENKI eyewear campaign, a campaign that had Papen go nude.

Here’s what Papen told Maxim.

“We got approached by the police several times. One time we were in the middle of the desert, and this car just came roaring out of the nowhere, and there was dust and smoke and sand everywhere.

“It was the military police, and Jesse was yelling at me, ‘Put your clothes, put your clothes on’… But in Cairo we were always able to talk ourselves out of the situation somehow.”

But the second time around Papen and Walker weren’t so lucky when they shot outside the Pyramids at Giza.

“In Luxor, the energy in general was much more intense. From the moment we got busted I knew we weren’t going to be able to bribe this guy off.” Papen said. “He was serious.”

Papen and Walker were both tossed in jail overnight, but Walker was able to delete the photos from his camera. Papen was then able to convince the judge that she was wearing nude underwear the entire time, which wasn’t true, but the lie led Walker and Papen to walk away with just a “stern warning.”

Lucky for them because no one wants to be in prison in Egypt.

“We both had no idea how and when we would get out. We both felt extremely blessed when we got taken out and were able to go to court,” Papen said. “They didn’t have any proof I was actually naked and of course we had some time to think things through. I don’t think I’d be answering these questions if we would have told the truth.”

Oh, and not to worry, because Papen is still going to be posing nude in the near future.

“The word afraid doesn’t appear in my dictionary,” Papen said.

Next up? The Congo.
