Drive-By Dunks On Strangers’ Basketball Courts: The Latest Trending Challenge

Dunking is an art form. Guys like Julius Erving, Michael Jordan, Vince Carter, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and an endless list of others perfected it during their playing careers. You can take a real deep dive on YouTube just watching the highlights.

If you grew up playing hoops, you probably tried to imitate these guys. Dunking became a goal for every hooper I’ve ever known, and you were a baller if you had the hops to throw them down. As for me, I had COUNTLESS dunks during my teen years…they might have been done on rims two feet lower than what you see in the NBA, but that’s not the point.

From the looks of it, teenagers are still holding the dunk in high regard. In fact, they’ve gone to the extent of dunking every time they cruise by one of their neighbors’ driveways.

People Are Doing Drive-By Dunks On Strangers’ Driveways

If you haven’t noticed it by now, there’s a hashtag on social media floating around called #DriveByDunkChallenge. People are doing drive-by dunkings on random peoples’ driveways, and the results are magical.

While some dunks are beautiful, others are downright ugly. Sometimes these guys don’t even get to dunk because the immense pressure of being a social media meme is taking their feet out from under them.

Just watch the end of this video from dunkademics.

Either way, the dunks are entertaining. Here’s hoping some homeowners aren’t haters and start confronting these drive-by dunkers. It would be a shame for them to get dunked on — or would it?

Check out some more dunk footage below.
