New App ‘Entr.’ Claims To Crowdsource Entry To Clubs And Events

The days of lining up for a club not knowing if you’ll get in may be a thing of the past.

A new app called ‘entr.’ is currently in development, and claim to allow club goers to circumvent guest lists altogether. Its sell-line is that it “connects like-minded clubbers from around the world, allowing them to enjoy and secure entry to the clubbing experiences that suit them best”.

Essentially it works by separating users into two categories, the rather brashly named ‘heroes’ and ‘plus ones’. Heroes already have tickets and/or a plus up for grabs, and using entr. they can list their free spots for sale in the hours leading up to the event, in essence creating a blackmarket for guestlist spots.

Heroes will earn money for their efforts, although how much of a cut will go to the app is not yet known. Payment is also based on whether entry is successful or not, and Plus Ones are not charged unless they gain entry.

entr. is expected to arrive soon to both Apple’s App store and Google Play.
