CES 2016: Haier Offers Small Space Living Products For Urban Environments

From New York to San Francisco, the most popular big cities are offering smaller living spaces. With that in mind, Haier is unveiling small space living products at CES 2016.

Haier is a leader in consumer electronics and appliances, but it’s using CES to unveil a line of new appliances aimed at small space living. These standalone and bundled products look to enhance day-to-day experiences in small spaces such as the kitchens, living rooms and bathrooms used in the shift to smaller, urban living spaces.

According to Haier America’s statements, the company recognizes that the new urban home is being redefined as a smaller space to allow for more paying tenants in limited space — and for more affordable entry level rents. The new line of smaller appliances looks to “contribute to that redefinition with products specifically designed for the challenges and opportunities that come with city living.”

The Small Space Living line includes multiple appliances and fixtures — many of which fit inside 24 inches and 2 cubic feet. You can see the list of new offerings below:

  • 24″ 2.0 Cubic Foot Dual Fuel Freestanding Range
  • 24″ Gas Cooktop
  • 24″ Single 2.0 Cubic Foot Right Swing True European Convection Oven
  • 14.2 Cu. Ft. 4-Door Refrigerator with capacitive touch controls (MSRP $1,899)
  • 24″ Chimney Hood with 450 CFM Motor (MSRP $519)
  • 18″ Built-In Dishwasher with stainless steel interior (MSRP $659)
  • 24″ 2.0 Cu. Ft. Combination Washer/Dryer with stainless steel drum (MSRP $1049)

These new products will go on sale in urban centers later this year.
