Watch All the Highlights from Microsoft’s Windows 10 Event

Microsoft has released a video showing all the highlights from its Windows 10 event, condensed into just under 4 minutes (feel free to make a joke about this, Apple users).

The highlight reel shows demonstrations of the upcoming operating system, which will be free for a year for existing Windows 7/8.1 users, showing how it will work with “big screens, small screens and no screens at all,” thanks to the company’s newly unveiled HoloLens headset.

The video shows snippets of footage discussing and highlighting the use of Microsoft’s Cortana, the Siri-esque voice-recognition tech, along with its Surface Hub and all-new web browsing experience in the form of Project Spartan, which shows the company finally moving away from the much-maligned Internet Explorer.

The highlights also show Xbox’s Phil Spencer taking to the stage to demonstrate how Windows 10 will impact PC gaming, and how the new OS and the Xbox One will inhabit the same ecosystem upon its release.

Microsoft is billing Windows 10 as a bold new chapter for the company, as they look to create an OS that everyone can get behind and that will increase parity with existing Microsoft devices, much in the same way that Apple encourages its users to invest in its Mac, Macbook, iPhone and iPod devices in order to heighten their user experience.
