The iPhone 6 is Pulling Out Users’ Hair… Literally

Just as the dust was settling on “#bendgate,” the controversy that surrounded the iPhone 6 Plus’ overly malleable case, some iPhone 6 owners have found themselves facing another, weirder issue: “#hairgate.”

According to Twitter users, iPhone 6 Plus owners are finding that their hair is getting stuck in the device when they take calls. The issue was also reported on 9to5mac.com’s forums, with a user writing: “By now we should be aware of the bendgate issue but it doesn’t concern me much. I take good care of my phone.

“I’m more concerned and somewhat irritated that my iPhone 6 Plus, keeps yanking out my my hair when I’m making call. Initially I thought it was the hair sticking to the screen protector. But upon closer inspection, it was the seam between the glass and aluminium– hair gets stuck and when you try to free it out, it hurts.”

It seems as though “#hairgate” is irritating iPhone 6 Plus owners with long hair and/or facial hair, with the ridges between the phone’s screen and its chassis catching hair inside of them. Considering other issues surrounding the iPhone 6 include it deleting iCloud information and not being able to connect with Bluetooth devices unless a factory reset is performed, we think that this problem certainly pales in comparison. However, if you plan on buying an iPhone 6 Plus and you sport the hair of a Kings of Leon band member, you might want to consider holding it away from your face. Or you might want to shave, you bum.
