Wine cocktails are becoming more popular out at clubs and bars. Their masculinity value is debatable. I don’t think you could order one at a blue collar tavern and get out without something wedged up your… But, they’re undoubtedly delicious and fun to play with if you’re an aspiring mixologist.
MARTINI – the maker of Sparkling Wines and Vermouths – wants you to give it a try with some dry, light wine cocktails appropriate for autumn.

MARTINI Asti Pear Flurry
Ingredients:
- 2 parts chilled MARTINI Asti
- 1 part fresh pear puree
Preparation: Pour fresh pear puree into a martini glass. Top with chilled MARTINI Asti and stir.
MARTINI Prosecco Augusta
Ingredients:
- 1½ parts MARTINI Rosso vermouth (chilled)
- 1 part pomegranate juice
- 4 parts MARTINI Prosecco
Preparation: Combine first 2 ingredients with ice in a shaker. Shake and strain into a chilled champagne flute. Top with MARTINI Prosecco. Garnish with pomegranate seeds to float on top.
MARTINI Prosecco Gala
Ingredients:
- 2 parts MARTINI Extra Dry vermouth (chilled)
- 1 part apple juice
- 3 parts MARTINI Prosecco
Preparation: Pour first 2 ingredients into a champagne flute. Top with MARTINI Prosecco. Garnish with a star anise.
MARTINI Manhattan
- 1 part MARTINI Rosso vermouth
- 2 parts whiskey
Preparation: Stir ingredients with ice and strain into a martini cocktail glass or pour over ice in rocks glass. Add cherry to garnish.
(For a twist on the traditional Manhattan, replace bourbon with DEWAR’S WHITE LABEL Blended Scotch Whisky.)
MARTINI Negroni
Ingredients:
- ¾ part MARTINI Rosso vermouth
- 1 part BOMBAY Original Gin
- ¾ part CAMPARI liqueur
Preparation: Stir ingredients with ice and strain into cocktail glass. Add a twist of lemon peel.
