Aston Martin Brings Back Limited Run of Lagonda

The new reborn Lagonda will be strictly bespoke — hand built to order on a restricted basis. Based on the historically popular mid-1970s Lagonda designed by William Towns, this new saloon (or sedan to more sensible people in the U.S. who know Wild West drinking holes and driving don’t mix) looks to embrace the modern technology and design language of Aston Martin while including echoes of the 1970s classic.

I know you’re asking, “How do I get one? And, how much?” Those are outstanding and pointed questions. I can answer just as succinctly in reverse order: “No one knows yet. And, you can’t.” Just as Aston Martin did with its One-77 halo car and V12 Zagato supercar, the new Lagonda will be made available on an invitation-only basis.

That doesn’t mean that any reader out there with a few hundred thousand $ or £ in his or her own pocket can’t inquire and pick up a Lagonda. It’s just that Aston Martin will be reaching out to previous buyers, current owners and those select few who can swing a check for this bespoke, once in a lifetime car.
