New David Bowie Emojis Are Coming In The Latest iOS Update

If all you music lovers out there are feeling a little muffed about the iPhone 7 taking away your beloved headphone jack, well, hold onto your headphones, or should we say, Airpods; Apple have have come up with a sweet little redemption, of sorts.

In their upcoming software update for iOS 10.2, Apple have promised an emoji for music fanatics, or more specifically, for David Bowie fanatics. iOS 10.2, which is still in beta right now, will feature a brand new David Bowie emoji.

The emoji (below) looks like the famous version of Bowie from his 1973 album Aladdin Sane, featuring that iconic thunderbolt across his face, as well as a little microphone. The emoji will also be available in both male and female variations.

The iOS 10.2 update doesn’t have a public release date yet, but it will actually feature lots of new emojis, including an astronaut, a chef, a farmer, and additional human gestures in male and female, like the face palm and the shoulder shrug.
