Chicago Strip Club Get Award for Cleanliness

Of course, it’s not for what’s going on inside.

According to Uproxx, a Northwest Chicago strip club was recently awarded the “Block Star Business” award for their “continual efforts to maintain a clean, litter-free exterior.”

The Albany Park Neighbors Association honored the Admiral Theatre in large part because they “actively hire employees who canvas the street for litter.”

That pissed off at least one neighbor something fierce. Marcus Winn didn’t hold anything back on the APNA’s Facebook page, saying, “You’re doing no service to the community by giving the Admiral an award. You’re only legitimizing their exploitation of women.”

Meanwhile, MoMo Lemon was singing a different tune and said, “This is the best thing I’ve ever seen.”

It’s not the first time the Admiral Theatre has been in the news for something other than flexible performers. The club made headlines last month when they offered free lap dances to anybody who donated a toy for Christmas.

It’s pretty tough to pass up a free lapper, and that was apparently the case when the club offered the same deal in 2010, as the club raised five truck loads of toys for area families.
