Benicio Del Toro Says Amber Heard Is ‘Manipulative’ And ‘Really Twisted’

Johnny Depp turns 53 today, so Benicio Del Toro calling him “a nice guy, very caring, very smart” has to feel pretty good. Not sure if what he said Amber Heard felt better though.

“What I know, there’s a lot of trouble from the girl that sounds a little manipulative,” the Oscar winner told the Daily News’ Confidenti@l Tuesday at an event sponsored by Heineken. “It sounds a little bit like there’s something really twisted about that girl … but I don’t know the specifics. “It seems the fact that his mom passed away and she filed for divorce two days later and then she wants money and she’s saying she got hit, it’s almost like, wait, I saw them not too long ago. Maybe it was January, a dinner for the Oscars or something like that…He was there with her and they were fine.”

Benicio Del Toro should join Twitter, because if he likes having an opinion about something without knowing the specifics, he can do that all day. You can take this however you want, I guess. A reporter probably checked IMBD and saw Del Toro and Depp were in a movie together once, so he stuck a microphone in his face, and Del Toro went with the bro. Meanwhile, those texts Amber Heard saved have been authenticated. And Tasya van Ree claims the 2009 domestic violence incident between her and Heard was legit, but Heard was “wrongfully accused” because the police didn’t take too kindly to lesbians. So far, Amber Heard has 1.) a restraining order from a judge, 2.) pictures of abuse, 3.) countless witnesses to said abuse, and 4.) authenticated texts apologizing for said abuse. But, umm, hello? Superdelegates don’t vote until July 25, so the media shouldn’t be too quick to rush to judgement. (Yes, I’m running this into the fucking ground).

Here’s Kat Del Toro. They might be related. They might not be.
