I wish I could be the executive producer on a movie about my life, so I can call it a documentary instead of a two hour promotional ad, but more to the point, the premiere of Beyonce‘s HBO documentary about her life (in which she served as executive producer and picked all the footage), Beyonce: Life Is But A Dream, was earlier this week, and her uncle said he was named after him. WHAT A RAW LOOK INTO BEYONCE’S LIFE!! Page Six reports:
Beyoncé’s maternal uncle Roland Beyince revealed at the premiere of her HBO doc “Life Is But a Dream” that the singer’s evocative name was inspired by his side of the family. “My sister Tina [Knowles] didn’t think we had enough boys in the family to keep the [Beyince] name going, so she gave Beyoncé our last name as the first name,”
Actually, her mom didn’t keep the name alive because your name is “Beyince” and her mom named her “Beyonce” with one of those accent things over the e. I think because she’s black.
