Giveaway: 5 Double Passes To A Screening Of ‘People, Places, Things’

If you’re a fan of heart-warming, thoughtful comedies starring quirky, likeable comedians such as “Flight Of The Conchords funnyman Jemaine Clement, then sounds like you’re the perfect candidate to enter our new competition to win 1 of 5 double-passes to his new movie, People, Places, Things.

The flick, which comes out on 10th September, stars Clement as Will Henry, a graphic novelist and art teacher who catches his longtime girlfriend and mother of his children, Charlie (Stephanie Allynne), with another man, and then is forced to muddle through life as a single dad.

Speaking with Crave at this year’s Sundance film festival, Clement described the movie as kind of being like an anti-romantic comedy.

“It’s about a breakup for the most part,” he explained. “You don’t see the characters get together in the end and be happy. It’s more about real life than it is ideal. I know that ideal does happen sometimes. Sometimes people do meet-cute and stay together for the rest of their life as is suggested in the movies, but this is more like a real relationship. I’m surprised it’s come up so much but it is in many ways like a romantic comedy, but the subject is not about a romance really.”

It sounds heavy, but hilarity also ensues as the tragedy of being the head of a broken family lands Will in a bunch of delightfully absurd situations.

“There is a romance,” Clement spoiler-ed. “I never do traditional romantic-comedies and I’m also never offered them.”

All you need to do to be in the running to snag two free tickets to see this super-awesome flick on the big screen is fill out the form below before 11.59pm next Wednesday, 16th September. Entry is only open to residents of Australia only.
