Interview: Neel Kolhatker On Internet Stardom And Gen Y Being “Too PC”

Whilst the litany of “internet sensations” and YouTubers continues to explode exponentially, it’s still a difficult career to properly go full-time in. One of the exceptions to that rule is Australian comedian Neel Kolhatker who has combined a successful YouTube channel, filled with skits, to-camera comedy pieces (such as the viral ‘Australia in 2 Minutes’ clip) and collaborations with other local online figures, with a now flourishing stand-up career.

Crave Online Australia’s Mitch Feltscheer caught up with Neel ahead of his sojourn to Edinburgh Fringe Festival and chatted all things comedy in the new age, such as transitioning from the small, small screen to the stage and whether or not Gen Y is, as Jerry Seinfeld recently, said “too politically correct”.

Watch the video interview above and check out his Edinburgh and Australian dates below!
