RBC Ottawa Bluesfest In Full Swing With Blue Rodeo And CeeLo Green

Ottawa Bluefest, which gets underway today, is featuring a mixed bag of artists for this year’s run until July 19th – not only will home-grown icons Blue Rodeo be performing, but so will CeeLo Green, Marianas Trench, NAS, and Johnny Reid.

Skrillex and Diplo will be getting things started today on the Bell Stage, along with Kiesza. Kanye West will perform on Friday.

Blue Rodeo was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2012 during the Juno Awards, and despite not releasing a new album since 2014 (a Christmas album), they’ve been keeping busy doing philanthropic work (the most recent being participating in Strangers in the Night, a charitable gourmet gala event in Pointe-Claire, Quebec.

Meanwhile Ceelo, since departing from The Voice, has a 2015 album called Heart Blanche and is working on other recording projects, and country star Johnny Reid is following up several successful albums as well as singles with a performance at Ottawa Bluesfest.

Air Supply, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Dropkick Murphys, Iggy Azalea, Hedley, Keith Urban, and Simple Plan will be at the event as well.
