5 Canadian Summer Music Festivals You Need To Know About

Summer in Canada is amazing, and musical! In the last two weeks several big-name music fests have revealed their line-ups, and Canadians will be lucky enough to see some huge names in music this summer. From Montreal and Ottawa to Toronto and the West Coast, these are the 5 Canadian summer music festivals you need to know about.

Osheaga

Every year Montrealers flock to Parc Jean-Drapeau to see some of the biggest musical stars, and this year will be no exception: The Weeknd, Muse, Lorde and Alabama Shakes are just a few of the dozens of acts that will take to the Osheaga stage during the three-day event.

Ottawa Bluefest

Always featuring a mixed bag of musicians, Ottawa Bluesfest will host Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers as well as 50 Cent (on separate stages, of course). It runs July 6-16 at LeBreton Flats.

CBC Music Festival

Check out up-and-comers Walk Off The Earth, here Serena Ryder effortlessly belt out her hits, and discover a number of other distinctly Canadian performers at the CBC Music Festival.

Montebello Rockfest

Going into its 12th year, Montebello Rockfest is featuring Megadeath, The Offspring, and newly reunited Wu-Tang Clan. The Montebello Rockfest is on from June 22-25.

Pemberton Music Festival

This year’s festival is set for Thursday, July 13th through Sunday, July 16, however the line-up has yet to be announced. However, festival-goers are sure to experience four epic days of music, comedy, food and arts underneath majestic Mt. Currie at Pemberton.
